New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries
OUR SUMMARY
In Spring 2024, the Lord spoke and moved on the heart of Pastor Gregory Allen to organize New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries.
God called Pastor Allen to preach the gospel in 1983 while serving on a tour in Germany with the United States Army. He became a licensed minister of the gospel in1985 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Butzbach, Germany.
After returning home from Germany and while stationed at Fort Meade Army base; he joined the Israel Baptist Church of Baltimore City in October,1989 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. H. Walden Wilson, II. During his 35 years of faithful service at Israel Baptist of Baltimore City; he served on several ministries throughout the years: as praise and worship leader, Evangelism and Christian Education Servant Leader, and as a Sunday Church School Instructor.
Pastor Allen also served several years as an instructor for the Maryland Baptist Church Convention; as Faith Command Leader for the National Black Church Initiative (NBCI); and most recently as the 2024 Evangelist for the Keuka United Christian Ashram held at Keuka College in New York.
In September 2024, under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Allen, New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries was birthed. Pastor Allen is married to Adrienne Gilchrist Allen and together they have four daughters, three grandsons and one grand-daughter.
FAITH STATEMENT
What We Believe as a Church
Our existence is ordained by God and our preaching and teaching is based on the Holy Bible, and we believe that the Bible is infallible. We believe in the Trinity; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, one God in three persons.
We believe in the Biblical account of creation according to Genesis and that God created male and female for reproduction to populate the earth and that marriage is between one man and one woman.
We also believe in the virgin birth, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus now sits at the right hand of God the Father on the throne and will soon return to redeem his church unto Himself.
We believe that Jesus is the only way to God and once a person has given their life to Christ, they receive eternal life according to the scriptures. We also believe that after salvation the new believer is instructed to be baptized, and that baptism has no saving power, but it is an outward showing of an inward conversion of a person in relationship with Jesus.
We believe in the importance of every believer having a church home (a covering) and not being spiritually homeless. We also believe in the regular attendance of worship, Bible Study, and personal study of the Bible for personal growth and development.
We believe in the regular observance of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) for the believer.
