ABOUT THE PASTOR
Pastor Gregory Allen is a native of Baltimore, Maryland, and a devoted servant of God who has dedicated his life to ministry, leadership, and service. He honorably served for 20 years in the United States Army, where he demonstrated a commitment to excellence and integrity. While stationed in Germany in 1983, Pastor Allen answered God's call into the Gospel ministry, beginning a lifelong journey of preaching, teaching, and sharing the love of Christ.
For 35 years, Pastor Allen faithfully served as an Associate Minister at Israel Baptist Church of Baltimore City under the distinguished leadership of Pastor H. Walden Wilson II. Throughout his tenure, he ministered in a variety of capacities, including Evangelism, Christian Education, Sunday School instruction, and New Disciples Classes. He also faithfully served in the Music Ministry, participating in and leading Praise and Worship services that inspired and encouraged congregations through heartfelt worship.
In 2024, after much prayer, seeking God's direction, and receiving a clear vision from the Lord, Pastor Allen convened a meeting to share God's call for the planting of New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries (NLMBCM). The vision was embraced, and on September 15, 2024, New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries was officially recognized by the State of Maryland as a religious entity.
The inaugural worship service of New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries was held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn–White Marsh, located at 5015 Campbell Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland. Since that historic day, the ministry has continued to grow as a place where lives are transformed through the preaching of God's Word, authentic worship, discipleship, and community outreach. Weekly worship services are held each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. In June 2026, the church secured a building at 730 S. Marlyn Avenue, Essex, MD 21221.
Pastor Allen is known for his passion for God's people, his heart for evangelism, and his unwavering commitment to teaching biblical truth. As a preacher, teacher, worship leader, and shepherd, he remains dedicated to fulfilling God's mission and leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through faith, perseverance, and obedience to God's call, Pastor Gregory Allen continues to lead New Life Mission Baptist Church & Ministries with the vision of bringing hope, healing, and new life to all who seek Christ.
Pastor Allen is married to Adrienne Gilchrist Allen, has four children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
FAITH STATEMENT
What We Believe as a Church
Our existence is ordained by God and our preaching and teaching is based on the Holy Bible, and we believe that the Bible is infallible. We believe in the Trinity; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, one God in three persons.
We believe in the Biblical account of creation according to Genesis and that God created male and female for reproduction to populate the earth and that marriage is between one man and one woman.
We also believe in the virgin birth, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus now sits at the right hand of God the Father on the throne and will soon return to redeem his church unto Himself.
We believe that Jesus is the only way to God and once a person has given their life to Christ, they receive eternal life according to the scriptures. We also believe that after salvation the new believer is instructed to be baptized, and that baptism has no saving power, but it is an outward showing of an inward conversion of a person in relationship with Jesus.
We believe in the importance of every believer having a church home (a covering) and not being spiritually homeless. We also believe in the regular attendance of worship, Bible Study, and personal study of the Bible for personal growth and development.
We believe in the regular observance of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) for the believer.
